Urban Heat Adapt is a startup dedicated to delivering low-cost, data-driven solutions for climate adaptation. Our mission is to support urban planners by providing precise, actionable data for creating effective climate adaptation plans. Unlike satellite data with coarse resolution, our mobile climate monitoring devices offer high-accuracy ground data, capturing air temperature, relative humidity, air pressure, global irradiance, and ground surface temperature. This data is essential for making informed decisions at the local level, such as optimising tree planting locations to benefit pedestrians and residents. We aim to empower urban planners with accurate data for evidence-based interventions, helping German cities comply with the new Bundes Klimaschutzgesetz (2023) and make urban areas more livable, healthy, and enjoyable.
